1. General

This Privacy Policy describes what data the KONTAKT application (the “App”) processes and how it is protected. The data controller is Destruction LLC (“we”). For any data-related questions, contact info@mykontakt.app.

By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. About the App

KONTAKT is an unofficial client for the VKontakte social network, built on top of the official VK API. Sign-in is performed exclusively through the official VK ID service. The App is not a product of VK LLC and is not affiliated with it.

3. What data we process

3.1. Authorization data (VK ID)

When you sign in via VK ID, the App receives an access token and your VKontakte account identifier. This data is stored locally on your device in secure storage and is used to make requests to the official VK API on your behalf. Requested permissions: access to the wall, friends, communities, photos, status, stories, documents and wiki pages. The App does not request access to private messages and does not process them.

3.2. Data from VKontakte

The content you view (feed, profiles, communities, photos, etc.) is loaded directly from the VK API and displayed on your device. This content is processed on the device and is not stored on our servers (except for anonymized analytics described below).

3.3. Analytics and technical information

To operate and improve the App, we collect and send technical information to our server:

This data is stored in our analytics database and used in aggregated form.

3.4. Crash reports

When the App crashes, technical information may be collected (error type, stack trace, device state) for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

3.5. Advertising

The App shows advertising through the Yandex Mobile Ads network. The advertising SDK may collect and process advertising identifiers and related technical data in accordance with Yandex’s privacy policy.

Data is processed on the basis of your consent, given when you use the App, and to perform the functions of the service.

7. Storage and security

The access token is stored locally on the device and is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the App. Analytics data is stored on secured servers for a limited period; after that, raw events are deleted or anonymized and aggregated metrics are retained. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.

8. Cross-border transfer

Analytics data is processed and stored on servers in the European Union. By using the App you consent to such transfer.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent to processing. To do so, write to info@mykontakt.app. You may also revoke the App’s access to your account at any time in VKontakte’s security settings and uninstall the App from your device.

10. Children

The App is not intended for persons below the age required by VKontakte’s rules and applicable law. We do not knowingly collect data from such persons.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available at mykontakt.app/privacy.en.html. We aim to notify users of material changes.
